Many talented professionals in the automotive industry are accepting buy outs from their current employers and seeking new challenges. The Michigan Careers in Transition program has been aggressive and proactive in working with companies throughout the state that are displacing their talented workers, most recently Chrysler employees.

The Detroit Regional Chamber workforce development team has been working with the state of Michigan and supports its initiatives to make sure talented workers don't leave our state. Michigan Careers in Transition, a resource on the Michigan Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth Web site, gives employers access to an easy, coordinated way to tap into this group for the via the Michigan Talent Bank.
