The Detroit Regional Chamber seeks operational advice and assistance with member engagement. Advisory committees give you an opportunity to network with people in or interested in your field. Check out the committees below for opportunities to give advice and engage with other members:

Ambassador Committee

  • Ambassadors assist other members by introducing them to the benefits and services of membership and serve as a one-on-one contact help them get the most of their membership.
  • Must be an active Chamber member for at least one year, participate in events throughout the year, and are comfortable in social settings with new, old and potential members

Public Relations & Marketing Advisory Panel

  • PR/Marketing Advisory Council advises the Chamber on providing strategic communication and opportunities for members across the 10-county region.
  • Comprised of PR, marketing, advertising, media, event planning, fundraising and graphics professionals - focuses on the Chamber's benefits, events, services, public policy communication, branding and other initiatives.

Small Business Advisory Council

  • Serves as a credible voice for the needs and concerns of members who own small businesses throughout the region. The goal of the SBAC is to become a vehicle through which issues and concerns of small business owners can be expressed to the Chamber leadership and Board members.
  • The council is made up of approximately 20 small business owners from different industries that provide feedback and guidance on public policy issues, economic development and beneficial membership services.
